Week 7 - Design Ideas and Thought Processes - Vanessa, Dom and Jeremy
Coming into Week 7 we have a pretty good idea about where our stall is heading. We worked over the holidays on producing the product in different ways and we are happy with the product itself.
One of the difficulties we are facing is trying to keep the Breaking Bad aesthetic without using show references....We have tried to make our own imagery and put a new twist on it. As a group we thought up the idea of splitting the stall into two areas of the DEA/Police and the candy lab at the back. We thought this would add an element of mysteriousness to the stall and also get people to interact more as a password is required for the back. The front could be used for information for our manhunt game etc also.
In regards to trying to find an ethical way to market our product we have tried to steer clear of anything to do with names of drugs and instead chose "Baby Blue" and "Purple Haze" for our two flavours. We still think that we should have the periodic table as apart of our stall as it is such a key part of the show and instantly recognisable.
Below is notes that we took down in class as we start to finalise the running of the stall.
After talking to the tutors they recommended that we look into creating our own imagery, So for the week ahead we are looking into redesigning our product in a way that is completely different to Breaking Bad.
As a group we are anxious about changing our idea so drastically as we had great feedback from other teams however if changing this design element helps our product more we are open to changes
