Logo and Packaging Mock Up. -Vanessa
After looking at packaging and the logo I came up with these designs that could work for the aesthetic we are trying to achieve.
This is a packaging design that I thought could work as a cover for our plastic wrapped product. it will add the mystery of the product still but it shows a more rustic and exotic design as the patterns on the front will be the "country" the gems are from.
This logo combines Jeremy's crystal design and Bella's aesthetic to create something simple that shows the main part of our stall which is the crystals.

Prop finding and Packaging- Vanessa
After deciding on the gypsy aesthetic I went out to try and find props that would show the look we are going for. We want to show a rustic, travelling gypsy stall that communicates that we go around the world collecting things and crystals (the product we are selling) to try and accomplish this we are looking at finding gypsy imagery and doing our own/taking inspiration from them. We have a table cloth and some props borrowed from a friend and i purchased a bowl and plastic gems but below are some possible things we could get.
After the feedback from the teachers on our suitcase packaging not being effective I looked into other forms of packaging and how we could present them. In my opinion you want the product on display so it attracts people to the stall, Hiding it away in a suitcase would add the element of mysteriousness but it would also hide away our main aspect. I also looked into how we could make or display the "missing gem" that is being stolen for our game.

Jobs set to each member - Bella
I'm going to print the posters for the stall, the tickets and anything else that needs to be printed for this. This means that Louis Ferens andDominique Sayles you both need to have those selfies (WITH the moustaches) and wanted posters done by the end of this week. I like those ticket stub things that you did Louis so if you just message them to me or put them on the blog I can print a couple pages of those. Also the poster that you were working on Vanessa Russell if you uplaod that to the blog I can print that too.Essentially, anything that needs to be printed just send it to me and I will print it, but you need to get this done asap!!!
1. Vanessa and I will work on making the candy, this will be done Monday and Tuesday.
Vanessa; could you please make a facebook page/find somewhere we can upload images that Jeremy will take?
2. Dom, you need to have those suitcases all done and dusted, Vanessa can paint those to make them look "rustic". You also need to take that photo and send it to Louis to work on, and you both must be wearing those same things on the day of the market.
3. Louis, you just need to do the posters and get the clothing ready. Have a spare change of clothes/take off your hoodie beanie and moustache for when you and Dom swap being the robbers.
3. Jeremy Hooper will be photographing the whole time and taking care of the tickets that are returned to the stall.

I posted this on our group page on Facebook. These are each of our jobs leading up to the event and on the actual day

Aesthetic Study - Vanessa Russell
After our positive feedback on our 2nd Mock Up stall we started to refine what our aesthetic around the gemstones will be.
The first idea is to create a sort of gypsy/exotic stall thats all about the "healing properties" of these gems. It would involve lots of bright colourful patterns. This may be a hard aesthetic to pull off in a short time. An idea i had was to paint boards to put in front of the desk to make it look like stacked suit cases.
For this idea the aesthetic is all about an exclusive, jewellery stall. The clean aesthetic could be made with glass and sectioning the gems up into different colours etc. Adding props like fake diamonds and magnifying glass would help this look. Also this ties in with the idea of a "jewel thief"

Logo - Bella
Logo work in progress
Vanessa suggested that we use that image to represent our stall, but we use a simplified black and white design to put on the cards that Jeremy will be designing which will be paired with the candy we hand out. This is it so far:
I definitiely struggled with this one, as I realized the mandala designs with the grey land makes the image look more Greek instead of a bit more exotic - I need to communicate a "travel/exotic" theme while being restricted to black, white and grey. The diamond is the focal point however as that is our main selling point and the escapism is what comes with the packaging. I will also add more "gems" in the background too emphasize our candy.
I feel this is the best design for our logo, as it is simple while still having the intricate mandala designs behind the diamond to create an exotic, delicate theme. And if it were to be shrunk, the designs would not be AS visible, but the mandala is still able to be seen just with less detail. The black diamond is very confrontational, and will stand out when shrunk to size.
