2nd Candy Making - Vanessa Russell & Dominique Sayles

After the market we decided to experiment with different flavours and colours for our candy. We decided to try the flavours of rum and one of coconut.

 Below is some photos from the process and the final product.




                








We are really happy with how this batch turned out as it is a lot of crystal-like and by drying it in the open rather than the fridge removed the stickiness. The colour is really interesting as the less blue you use the more green it goes as it reacts with the sugar. Over the next couple days we will be looking at how well it stores and also maybe different colours as well.
